Match review

Saturday 29 October saw us travel to Fleetwood for a match against Pure Football who raise money for The Miscarriage Association.

The match was a thriller – which saw a first half with plenty of chances for both sides, but neither team were able to find the net. There were goals galore in the second half though, as CAFC took the lead through Marco Carluchi, who slotted the ball home after a mazy run. Pure Football equalised through a long-range effort before Marco scored his second and third goals of the game to put CAFC 3-1 up. It looked like the game was won, but 2 late goals from Pure Football made the final score 3-3.

The game was decided by a penalty shootout, with Ashley Cheadle-Acton stepping up to be the hero and score the decisive spot-kick to make it 6-5 to CAFC.

As always, the charities are the real winners, with money being raised for both The Miscarriage Association and Cheshire Autism Practical Support
